Grow More Fruits in Manipur campaign launched

Imphal, July 20 2024: 'Grow More Fruits in Manipur' campaign initiated by Ward No.6 United Clubs, Uripok and Irabot Foundation, Manipur was launched at Uripok Huidrom Leikai Development Committee(OHLDC) community hall on Saturday.

Speaking at the occasion, Irabot Foundation president Kunjamayum Gopen explained that the campaign has been launched as part of Foundation's food self-sufficiency goal for Manipur and it aims to bolster fruit production in the state along with successfully implementing the articles of UN' Sustainable Development Goal.

As part of the launch programme which was also attended by UHLDC president Leikangbam Bikom, Singh and Ward No 6 United Club general secretary Saikhom Somendro, around 300 fruit bearing tree saplings were planted along the banks of Nambul river.
