Kakching, July 15 2024: Community FM radio service named 'Ching Ching Radio' of Kakching started its formal broadcast on Monday from its Kakching Chumnang Leikai Ashram road office.

The community FM radio broadcast by Kha Manipur Development Organisation (KMDO), Kakching was launched with retired director of Manipur Remote Sensing Application Centre Dr Nahakpam Randhir as chief guest, Writers' Association, Kakching president retired ZEO Pukhrambam Nimai as president and Kakching PS OC T Rameshwor and ISTV Imphal former president B Naobi Sharma as guests of honour.

KMDO secretary Dr Monica Moirangthem, Ching Ching Radio programme executive Longjam Priyokumar and programme assistant Shougaijam Inaobi were also present at the event.

According to Dr Monica Moirangthem, Ching Ching Radio is a community radio service established with approval of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The service will cover Kakching and surrounding areas, she said and appealed to the people to support Ching Ching Radio.
