CCpur dengue cases reach 13; body found

CCpur, September 14 2022: With the detection of two fresh cases from Vengnuam South, New Lamka on Tuesday, the cumulative number of Dengue affected people in Churachandpur district has reached 13.Both the fresh cases are girls aged 20 and 23 years.

Following detection of the new cases, district malaria officer Dr Liangiumuan Sam te and his staff have started carrying out investigation and awareness campaign in the area to prevent spread of the disease.

Different teams are also screening residents and conducting massive fogging in the area.

On the other hand, body of an unidentified person was found inside one of the rooms of New Bazar public toilet at about 3 pm on Wednesday.

According to sources, the unidentified person had entered room of the toilet at around 3pm.After the per son did not come out for a long time, those manning the toilet went to enquire but found the person lying motionless inside the room.

It is suspected the person may have died of drug overdose.

Meanwhile, the body has been kept at district hospital morgue for necessary action.
