One dies, three injured in accidents

Thoubal, October 13 2024: One person lost his life while three others suffered injuries in different road mishaps in Thoubal district on Sunday.

According to police report, the first accident that occurred near YK College, Wangjing around 9:30 pm Sunday involved a bullet motorcycle and a TVS Heavy Duty moped.

Pillion rider of the Bullet motorcycle succumbed to injuries at RIMS hospital, while riders of both the two-wheelers though injured are safe.

The diseased has been identified as Ningthoujam Surkumar (18), s/o N Shalungjao of Thoubal Kiyam Siphai, bullet rider as Kangabam Shisa (17) s/o K Budha of Thoubal Kiyam Siphai and moped rider as Chongtham Birachandra (75) of Wangjing Wangkhem.

In another accident near Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Sajan Shanglen around 1:30 pm Sunday, a water tanker hit an Activa resulting in injuries to the Activa rider identified as Puyam Bidyashor (21), s/o Puyam Jugindro of ThoubaLKshetri Leikai.
