WRD candidates demand viva-voce for 2019 recruitment

Imphal, October 11 2024: Candidates of Water Resources Department, 2019 Association has urged the department to conduct the long-pending viva-voce for those who have cleared the written examination.

Addressing the media at Manipur Press Club on Friday, Association spokesperson Senjam Ronaldo expressed strong resentment over delay in holding the viva-voce for the recruitment of 62 posts, in-spite of the written test conducted in 2019.Ronaldo rued that many candidates have crossed the age bar, leaving them ineligible to apply for other government job.

The association urged chief minister N Biren and water resources minister Awangbow Newmai to address the issue immediately.

He further warned that the candidates would launch intense agitation if their demands continue to be ignored.
