RIMS conducts Swachhta health camp in Sugnu

Imphal, November 09 2024: Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal successfully conducted a Swachhta health camp at Sugnu relief camp in Kakching district on Saturday, as part of its Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) 2024-25.The health camp provided critical medical services to internally displaced people in the area.

According to a statement issued by RIMS media cell, around 85 patients benefited from the camp, receiving medical Care facilitated by doctors from multiple departments, including Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Medicine, and Eye Care.

In addition to consultations and treatments, essential medicines were distributed to attendees.

It informed that the health camp provided crucial medical assistance and health screenings, while also promoting awareness about hygiene and sanitation.

These services are especially vital in displacement settings, where regular access to healthcare is often disrupted.

"This effort aligns with the goals of the Swachhta Action Plan to enhance public health, hygiene, and cleanliness within the community," the statement added.
