AIMS condemns threat to COHSEM

Imphal, January 07 2022: Apunba Ireipaki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) has strongly condemned the alleged intimidation to officials of Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM).

In a release, AIMS secretary general Nickerson Khumancha said that COHSEM along with other educational institutions has been taking vital roles in development of the society.

The narrow mindedness and hindrance given to educational institutions will harm the future of student community.

The obstruction in the works of COHSEM to conduct higher secondary examination in April last is unfortunate, he lamented.

Pointing out that AIMS has been taking part in activities related with educational institutions and students since its inception, Nickerson said that AIMS and other student bodies have been looking into the activities of COHSEM as well as extending support whenever necessary to ensure smooth implementation of programmes for the sake of students.

As such, AIMS considers the threat to COHSEM as a serious affront, he added.

He exhorted all the people who love their motherland to help in making educational institutions work properly and sincerely.
