FOCS demands declaration of Indo-Kuki war

Imphal, September 06 2024:
Criticising alleged inaction by the government of India in-spite of fully aware about Kuki terrorists carrying out relentless attacks in Manipur using drone bomb and rockets, Federation of Civil Society Organisation (FOCS) Manipur demanded declaration of the on-going conflict as Indo-Kuki war.
In a release, FOGS strongly condemned attacks launched by Kuki militants using short range ballistic missile in Moirang at the residence of former chief minister late Mairembam Koireng (Moirang Koireng) leading to the death of one civilian identified as Rk Rabei and injuring five others.
The attack testifies complete failure of the home department, it regretted, while demanding resignation of security advisor Kuldiep Singh and the DGP Rajiv Singh on moral ground.
FOCS explained that killing of civilians using drone bombing and rocket missile is war crime and also threatens the internal security of the country.
Questioning why the government is not initiating any action against Kuki terrorists, it reiterated to declare Indo-Kuki war and flush out illegal immigrants.
