Appoint regular JNIMS director: Relief Committee

Imphal, August 06 2024: Pointing out that absence of regular director has been hindering development of JNIMS hospital, Relief Committee JNIMS has urged authorities concerned for appointing a regular director at the earliest.

In a release, Relief Committee lamented that JNIMS seems to be functioning without any authority due to lack of regular director since July.

There are several inadequacies in the hospital including X-ray films, reagents and even stationery items for administrative purposes.

Moreover, making the patient party to buy products like cotton, plaster and syringe is against the rules of government hospital, it pointed out.

The absence of regular director has hindered in development of the hospital and is regressing instead of moving forward, the release continued, while asserting that making JNIMS hospital to function without any authority amidst the ongoing conflict is akin to disregarding the people.

It reiterated the appeal to authorities concerned for appointing a regular director for smooth functioning of the hospital.
