International Volunteer Day observed

The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Senapati branch, Manipur observed International Volunteer Day today at the DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati district headquarter.
As part of the programme, Redcross blankets and hygiene kits were distributed to the senior citizens, widows and orphans of the district in the presence of Mamoni Doley, District President/DC Senapati and Anupam, Vice-president, SP Senapati.
The program was moderated by Dr Ethou Martin, Vice Chairman, Rev DL Sapuni graced the opening prayer while N Benjamin Tao, Chairman of IRCS, Senapati welcomed the delegates and gave the keynote address and RS Abel, IRCS State Management Member pronounced the vote of thanks.
The three recently established Youth Red Cross Wings from Mt Everest College, Mt Zion college and Asufii Christian College also attended the program.
Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to the six most dedicated volunteers of the district.
The DC and SP Senapati congratulated the IRCS Senapati branch and the volunteers for being one of the most active District branches in Manipur.
