Assam Rifles holds meet with senior citizens

Assam Rifles hosted a day-long 'Conclave with Community Elders' from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts to foster constructive dialogue, strengthen relationships, and promote mutual understanding.
According to a press release from PRO IGAR (S), the conclave aimed to address prevailing security concerns in the region, insightful brain storming session was carried out on Free Movement Regime and border fencing along the Indo-Myanmar border.
Additionally, the conclave focused on local concerns, sharing information on initiatives by AR and identifying areas for collaborative development.
It also covered discussions on key issues such as infrastructure development, education and skill development, health services, sports and cultural initiatives.
The event witnessed participation from over 90 community elders, who shared their valuable insights and perspectives, it added.
