MSF demands Drugs Prevention Policy

Imphal, August 05 2024: Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) president Hijam Roshan has urged the state government to formulate and implement Manipur Drugs Prevention Policy for saving the youth from falling prey to the menace of drugs.

Speaking during a discussion session at Bishnupur Higher Secondary School as part of a drug prevention campaign organised by MSF headquarters in association with its Bishnupur district branch on Monday, Roshan assured the Federation's proactive contribution to prevent youth from falling victim to substance abuse.

He also emphasised the urgent need for implementing a Manipur Drugs Prevention Policy, and urged the Manipur government to acknowledge importance of such a proposal, while suggesting that the policy incorporate programmes in schools aimed at educating and encouraging the students to avoid drugs with engagement of experts in the field.
