BSF organises medical camp in Kangpokpi district

Kangpokpi, February 05 2025:
The 37 Battalion Border Security Force (BSF), under the leadership of commandant Sanjiv Joshi and aegis of SHQ CI (OPS) Manipur DIG JK Birdi, on Wednesday conducted a Civic Action Programme (CAP) and free medical camp at Tagaramphung (Yaikongpao) village in Kangpokpi district.
The camp aimed at strengthening trust, fostering goodwill, and addressing the critical needs of local villagers had a turnout of over 250 villagers, including village chiefs, community leaders, and youth club members from Ningthoupham, T-Khullen, South Changoubung, Daili, Tagaramphung, Tumnoupok-pi, Kalapahar, Keithelmanbi, Kangpokpi, and Koubru Leikha villages.
As a part of the programme, the BSF unit also distributed items such as football and volleyball sets, carom boards, badminton kits, water storage tanks, dispensers, water filters, and solar lights.
The BSF also organised a free medical camp at Keithelmanbi Government High School, in collaboration with doctors of Kangpokpi Government Hospital and the unit's medical team during which over 200 displaced individuals and villagers from Keithelmanbi Relief Camp availed medical care, check-ups, and free medicines, bringing much-needed healthcare to those who need it most.
Speaking on the occasion, commandant Sanjiv Joshi reaffirmed the BSF's unwavering commitment to not just safeguarding borders but also uplifting communities, fostering trust, and improving lives.
He thanked the villagers for their participation and assured continued efforts to strengthen this bond of mutual respect and cooperation.
