AR Director General visits state

Director General of Assam Rifles (DGAR) Lieutenant General Pradeep Chandran Nair visited the field formations and forward areas of Assam Rifles in the state on Wednesday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the general officer, who will remain in the state till August 6, was briefed in detail by the various commanders about the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness.
The DGAR expressed his satisfaction on the security measures and operational preparedness of the Assam Rifles and further complimented Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) for efficiently managing the security situation in the state.
The DG also interacted with the troops deployed in the forward locations and appreciated the untiring efforts of the forces in difficult and inhospitable conditions and commended them for carrying out people friendly operations, the PRO said.
The Director General was also briefed about the efforts being undertaken for Force preservation and Covid-19 preparedness of Assam Rifles in Manipur, it added.
