AMGSU conducts 'Saraswati Puja'

Imphal, February 03 2025: All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) organised 'Saraswati Puja' at different locations across the state; 'Mata Saraswati' is the goddess of knowledge, music, art, education, wisdom, creativity, intelligence, language, literature, culture.

She is often depicted playing the 'Veena', a musical instrument, and is associated with the swan, which symbolises purity and wisdom.

Specially, for the students and teachers it is one of the most important day, according to an AMGSU release.

It also informed that AMGSU units celebrated 'Saraswati Puja' in collaboration with local organisations, Mandir Samiti, and school authorities at Kanglatongbi, Leimakhong, Toribari, Charhajare, Motbung, Santolabari and Prasain.
