Traffic diversions for assembly on Feb 2, 3

Imphal, February 01 2023: Traffic Control Wing superintendent of police (SP) has issued notification regarding traffic diversions in connection with the 3rd session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly which is due to be held on February 2 and 3.The notification conveyed that the arrangement will be effective from 6.30 am till the session is over on both days and it will be applicable only to the general public.

All heavy'/ commercial vehicles would be diverted from Sangakpham road to Salangthong; from Khongnang Ani Karak towards ISBT, Lamlong Thong or MMTA; from MMTA towards Pandon crossing; from Watham Leirak road to Thangmeiband; from Uripok Canteen to Naoremthong/ Lamphel Super Market; and from Singjamei to Pishumthong.

No commercial/heavy vehicles would be allowed to pass through the road stretch of Khongnang Ani Karak Lilasing Khongnangkhong-THAU ground-DM College gate route - LIC Crossing - North AOC -Khongnang Ani Karak route.

However, there shall be no diversion of vehicles detailed/engaged for emergency services/duties, the notification added.

The 3rd session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly will begin from Thursday with Governor La Ganesan addressing the House.

The session will have two sittings and on the first day, there will be motion of thanks to the Governor's address followed by obituary reference.

The second day will include discussion on the Governor's address and private member business, if any.
