Imphal, February 29 2024: All India Trade Union Congress, Manipur (AITUC) has launched a month-long campaign for workers at Irabot Museum, Sanjenbam on Wednesday.

In a release, AITUC informed that the campaign is to demand end to the ongoing conflict in the state through immediate political dialogue, setting up and deployment of highway protection force along the National Highways, ensuring minimum support price to farmers, enhance status of scheme workers, increase daily wage of MGNREGS to Rs 600, proper implementation of Food Security Act, restoration of old pension scheme and prevent violence against women.

The launch programme organised by All Manipur Asha Workers' Union was attended by Wahengbam Pampratombi, Laishram Indubala and Kshetrimayum Shanti as presidium members, while All India Trade Union Manipur general secretary L Sotinkumar and secretary Kh Samungou was present as the main speakers.
