Public urged to help curb dengue

A Community Awareness Programme on Dengue was conducted on Saturday by Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPG) in collaboration with the state malaria officer, entomologists, SNO-IEC and Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Sagolband at the residence of Sagolband MLA RK Imo Singh.
In a release, SCPC convener Ng Manao Singh informed that the programme saw participation of doctors and officials of National Centre for Vector Borne Disease Control (NCVBDC); UPHC, Sagolband medical officer in-charge, its staff, ASHA workers, IMC Ward No 7 ex-corporator RK Jiten Singh, along with volunteers from local clubs and residents.
During the event, state malaria officer Dr Priyokumar emphasised the vital role of the public in curbing the spread of dengue and urged all citizens to contribute in the fight against dengue virus by strictly adhering to the guidelines issued by the department.
