AMSU Jiribam celebrates foundation day

Jiribam, August 28 2021: The 56th Foundation Day of All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) was celebrated Saturday by AMSU Jiribam district committee at its conference hall.

The celebration began with unfurling of the AMSU flag in the presence of Pari Puri Athouba Ningsing Lup (PPANL) chairman and ex-AMSU president Dr Arun Kumar Mangang as chief guest, AMSU Jiribam vice president S Ranajit Singh as president and Committee chief advisor B Sarat Sharma as guest of honour.

As part of the commemorative event, Th Somorendra and 0 Radheshyam of Jiri College, Jiri United committee convener W Dinesh Meetei, Meetei Convention Jiribam president Th Kumbha Luwang and AMSU ex-president advocate L Romen spoke about how AMSU was formed and the role taken by the students' organisation for the welfare and development of the state.

Prizes of the district level open online essay competition conducted in connection with the celebration were also distributed on the occasion.
