MGSU celebrates Saraswati Puja, Republic Day

Imphal, January 27 2023: All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) Central Committee and Units celebrated Saraswati Puja and the 74th Republic Day at different venues on January 26 .

In a release, AMGSU informed that out of its 17 units in the state, the events were celebrated at Kanglatongbi jointly by Churachandpur, Charhajare, Motbung, Leimakhong, Santola-bari/Prasain, Kangpok-pi Toribari, Irang Part 1 & 2, Unit and Kalapahar units.

Irang Part-2 Unit observed the puja and Republic Day at multiple places including Singha Rupa Government Aided School, Gorkha Ha-rup; Harup Khopi UJB School; Gorkha Tapon UJB School; Irang Pt-2 Government High School, Panikheti; Thaldara LP School; Naibet UJB School ^nd Make Assang.

The Unit also provided relief materials to four students of T Waichong Government High School as they have lost all their belongings in a fire that broke out in their rented room few months ago, it added.

The release further mentioned that Ukhrul and Churachandpur units took part in the Republic day celebration and performed cultural dances at the respective district headquarters.
