Imphal, June 25 2022: A workshop on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was jointly organised by IQAC United College, Lambung in Chandel district and Manipur Institute of Management Studies (MIMS), Manipur University at science seminar hall of the College.

In a release, College principal Dr Bd Thumdal informed that during the technical sessions, experts from Manipur University including registrar Prof W Chandbabu Singh and MIMS director Prof L Jibon Kumar Sharma discussed the programme and course frameworks of the undergraduate study in colleges and significance of NEP respectively.

The MU registrar mentioned the proposed curriculum for the 2022-2023 academic years, the NEP ordinance and the impending regional mapping of Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC).

NEP 2020 is repositioning the educational system, according to the head of MIMS, who also emphasised the importance of the new educational policy that blends the arts and sciences and takes a multifunctional approach.

Invitees, teachers, and non-teaching staff members also turned up for the workshop.

The college principal and chairman of the IQAC, Dr Thumdal expressed his gratitude to the speakers for enlightening everyone on NEP 2020 .
