Online interaction of MASLSA functionaries held

Imphal, May 25 2021: An online interaction programme for front office functionaries (retainer lawyer, PLVs) of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) was held on Tuesday, a release by MASLSA deputy member secretary Sorokhaibam Sadananda has informed.

According to the release, the programme was attended by MASLSA member secretary Ojesh Mutum, DLSAs, retainer lawyers and PLVs of Imphal West, Churachandpur, Chandel, Senapati, Thoubal, Ukhrul and Bishnupur districts.

During the programme, discussions were held on how front office functionaries could provide legal aid helpline and justice in pre-arrest, arrest and remand stages, providing legal aid to women and children and the various inconveniences faced by the front office functionaries in the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic.
