Orientation prog on youth leadership kicks off

Imphal, February 24 2024:
A three-day orientation programme on Youth Leadership & Development has commenced from Saturday at Moirang College in Bishnupur district.
The programme aims to equip youth of the state with skills to analyse their strengths and weaknesses, set personal and vocational goals, and enhance self-esteem, confidence, and motivation.
Supported by the Centre for National and International Collaboration, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the programme falls under the scheme of Training Programme on Youth Development Issues, which is being implemented in collaboration with State/Central Universities/National Institutions in India.
The inaugural ceremony saw the presence of head of the Centre for Training, Orientation, and Capacity Building at RGNIYD, professor Vasanthi Rajendran as the keynote speaker.
Manipur University, controller of examination professor Ng Nimai attended the occasion as chief guest along with MU registrar professor Chand Babu, social scientist Dr Dhanabir Laishram, and career counsellor Y Modhu who were present as guests of honour.
Moirang College principal Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh, who presided over the inaugural function, encouraged all NSS volunteers and students to participate in the programme whole-heartedly.
