MLA interacts with Singhat CHC officials, staff

Singhat (Singngat) MLA and MTDC chairman GS Haupu interacted with officials and staff of Singhat Community Health Centre (CHC) on Thursday.
During the interaction, issues pertaining to shortage in the CHC were raised by staff of the centre.
As per government norms, six doctors and some nurses are to station in a CHC but only four nurses of Singhat CHC were present at the meeting.
Singhat CHC is being looked after by Dr Steeve as the MO in-charge.
During the discussion, X-ray and other equipment issues including ultra sound machine were put up by the staff and based on the suggestion of the MO in-charge, the MLA gave assurance of installing the requisite equipment of the CHC soon.
As of now, Singhat CHC is having six doctors, four nurses and some IV grade staff.
During the meeting, the MLA gave strong instruction to staff and MO in-charge to renovate the CHC even with his own expenses while advising them to work in tandem and close coordination.
Finally, the Singhat MLA agreed to construct OPD and other testing centres including COVID testing from his local area development fund at the premises of the CHC.
Earlier, MLA GS Haupu donated Rs 50,000 along with face masks and equipment worth Rs 50,000 for the needy people.
