Cash aid provided to VDF jawan's family

Imphal, April 20 2022: Under the auspices of SP Thoubal Jogeshchandra Haobijam, Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association has extended financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the widow of late VDF member Hijam Brojen, who died due to an ailment.

Association members along with DHQ Thoubal reserved officer inspector Keisham Premkumar and cashier Ph Hemba went to Brojen's house at Thoubal Athokpam Awang Leikai and handed over the financial assistance to his widow Inaocha on Wednesday.

The association has been providing similar financial assistance to families of VDF personnel, who passed away during their service period.

Associations of other districts are also contributing small amount from their ration money to help the families of their fraternity in times of their death as they not only have low income but also lack service security.

In a statement, the association drew attention of the state government for increasing the monthly honorarium amount of VDF personnel, who are carrying out duty of maintaining law and order in the state.
