Tamenglong, September 19 2022: The Lightening Drugs & Alcohol Drugs De-addiction and Reha bilitation Centre was on Monday inaugurated at Duigailong village, Tamenglong HQs.

The Rehabilitation Centre, which will be run by an NGO under the ministry of social justice and empowerment, was inaugurated by Duigailong Baptist Church pastor Dr Dimonang Gonmei.

In his address, Centre's project director Titus Gangmei sought cooperation of the public in the smooth operation of the facility and explained that the centre has been opened in the district so that parents and guardians who need intervention of rehabilitation can avail the same.

He added that the staff and rehab counsellors are all experienced.

Zeliangrong Baptist Churches Council Northeast India (ZBCCNEI) president Rev Namreikeu Pame also welcomed the initiative of setting up the Rehabilitation Centre and assured that the churches in Tamenglong will extend full support to the rehab centre.

He also expressed firm belief that the rehab centre will save many youths in the days to come.

The inaugural function was also attended by Duigailong Village Authority, Youth Club, Tamenglong Bar Association and church leaders.
