COCOMI sit in continues in Jiribam

Jiribam, December 18 2024: In continuation of the agitation launched by COCOMI Jiribam District Council in connection with the involuntary disappearance of Laishram Kamalbabu, a sit-in protest was staged at Maheikhulen (Bidyanagar) Club, here, on Wednesday.

The sit-in also called for perpetrators of the brutal murder of three women and three children in Borobekra to be brought to justice, repeal of AFSPA from Jiribam, and for the government to punish those responsible for the killing of Khundrakpam Athouba.

The sit - in was at -tended by meira paibi activists of Maheikhulen.

The protestors used placards inscribed with messages such as "We Want Peace", "We Condemn the Missing of Kamalbabu from the Army Camp", "Save Innocent People", "We condemn imposition of AFSPA in Jiribam", "We Condemn arrest of village volunteers" and "Release Laishram Kamalbabu Immediately" .
