CPI/MSC meet discusses crisis situation

Communist Party of India (CPI), Manipur State Council discussed the prevailing situation in Manipur by convening a meet and decided to launch a mass movement to press for resolving the crisis.
The meeting held at BT Road office of the CPI state council, emphasised that the BJP government in the state needs to shoulder the main responsibility for resolving the nearly seven-month old violence and later resolved to launch a mass movement to press the government for ending the conflict at the earliest.
The meeting also recalled that the party's local councils in 35 assembly constituencies have been shouldering responsibility to safeguard territorial integrity of Manipur in coordination with the people and also dicussed about the need for continuation of the task forces formed for the crisis in six districts and at state level.
The meeting also recalled a series of agitations launched by the party in different states of the country to extend solidarity to the suffering people of Manipur and denounce the demand for separate administration.
