Three penalised for invalid IIP cards

Imphal, December 17 2024: City police apprehended three noh-locals for possessing invalid ILP cards during a drive conducted in Paona Keithel area on Tuesday.

They were produced before the court, and released at Mao Gate after levying penalty for violation of ILP rules.

Police source identified the three as Sukhari Saha (49), son of Phalguni Saha from Bhatola, Bihar (presently staying at Paona Keithel), Bittu Kumar Saha (21), son of Sunil Saha from Ara, Bihar (presently staying at Kakhulong), and Ankit Kumar (19), son of Ram Sevak Prasad from Bihar (presently staying at Kakhulong) .

An FIR was registered against the three and produced before the Court of SDM, Imphal West, which instructed them to pay a fine of Rs 6000 each.

The court also instructed police to release them at Mao Gate and share the information to the ILP Cell at Mao Gate for necessary actions.
