Awareness on disturbance free education zone held

Imphal, June 17 2022: Continuing its campaign, Coordinating Committee on Disturbance Free Education Zone Demand organised awareness programmes at Nilapadma Higher Secondary School, Sekmai and Lamjing Educational Institute, Awang Potsangbam on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, DESAM secretary (education and academic affairs) Thounaojam Sumol Luwang stressed the need for implementing an effective guideline for private schools.

He demanded all concerned to stop threatening educational institutions in order to bring about a bright future of the society.

He also expressed concern over the lack of basic infrastructure including toilet facilities and teaching staff in several government schools.

Terming such shortage as a type of disturbance in education, he drew attention of the government foe taking up necessary measures to develop school infrastructures.

Later, students of both schools formed human chain in front of their respective schools and shouted slogans for making educational institutions disturbance free zone.
