Imphal, July 16 2024: The relay hunger strike by students of Dhanamanjuri University in pursuance of their demand for appointment of regular vice chancellor, registrar, teaching and non-teaching staff continued with the protest site shifted out of the university complex.

On Tuesday, the relay hunger strike launched by UG, PG and PhD students at A-Block of the university on July 9, was staged at Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai community hall.

The students on strike denounced the adamant attitude and failure of the government to honour their genuine demands.

According to DM University Students' Union president Irom Dimocha, the strike launched for saving their careers is reasonable.

Stating that the students were compelled to agitate as the government failed to listen to their grievances, he made it clear that the same will continue till fulfilment of their demands.
