Noney, July 13 2021: Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR and IGAR (East) organised a mega tree plantation drive on Tuesday.

The drive was conducted under the theme "Save Trees, Save Earth" and will continue at Noney, Kotlein, Tupul, Haochong, Awangkhul, Khongsang and Nungba, area of responsibility till July 17, said an AR release.

The troops of Noney Battalion have taken another step to fulfil its commitment of a clean and green environment by contributing plantation drive towards the pious goal of making supporting a sustainable environment.

During the drive, a total of 1115 saplings of fruits, shady and local variety of plants were planted in and around Battalion Headquarters, Company Operating Bases and along National Highway 37, it added.
