Jiribam, December 11 2024:
Disenchanted with the failure of authorities concerned to locate Laishram Kamalbabu, who went missing from the Leimakhong Army camp on November 25, COCOMI, Jiribam District Council has announced plans to launch sit-in protests and other forms of intense agitation.
Speaking to the media at IPSA office, Babupara, COCOMI Jiribam co-convenor S Sainik expressed disappointment over the government's inability to establish Kamalbabu's whereabouts.
Terming as deeply unfortunate that the government has failed to take any concrete steps to locate him, Sainik declared that if the government does not make progress in tracing Kamalbabu, the COCOMI council will initiate a series of intense protests starting from December 13 .
"These protests will include sit-in demonstrations to be organised in collaboration with local clubs and organisations and other forms of intense agitation will also be pursued with the involvement of the people of Jiribam", he said.
