PDF clears air on killing Indian duo

Imphal, July 08 2022: Reacting to the statement of ministry of information of the military regime's Brig Zaw Min Tun on July 7 claiming that the two Indian nationals were killed by a terrorist group, People's Defence Force (PDF), Tamu has clarified that the junta intentionally created a misunderstanding between PDF and the people on both sides of the borders so as to hide the true story of its stooge.

In a release, PDF claimed of receiving inputs that Pyu Saw Htee had committed extrajudicial killings and looted money and jewellery from the victims.

It is known to all that Pyu Saw Htee is a militia trained and equipped by the junta and is given a freehand in looting public properties, burning down houses and acting as gangsters since the coup in 2021, the release alleged.

"From reliable sources, PDF � Tamu has come to know that under the command of Maung Lay Win, one of the leaders of Pyu Saw Htee, Phoe Sein and Zaw Ye opened fire on the two victims in broad daylight", it maintained while adding that the junta refused to return the bodies to the bereaved families and tried to fabricate the incident.

While condemning the cowardly and brutal attack on innocent civilians, PDF demanded that the perpetrators be brought before the law and justice be served to the bereaved families.
