Sainik School celebrates foundation day

Imphal, October 07 2024: Sainik School, Imphal celebrated its 53rd foundation anniversary on Monday with great enthusiasm and gaiety.

In a release, PRO Defence informed that many senior members of former staffers and alumni of the school including high ranking defence services officers also attended the celebration which commenced by paying homage at the Martyrs' Pillar followed by cake cutting ceremony at the school auditorium.

According to the PRO, various entertainment programmes were presented by the cadets showcasing their innate talents.

The Cadets also had the opportunity to interact with the ex-students and were motivated and inspired with their experiences.

A friendly basketball match was also played between the staff and ex-students.

The release further said that Sainik School, Imphal principal lieutenant colonel SK Singh addressed the gathering and appreciated the retired staff, alumni and ex-students for their service and relentless efforts in bringing up the school to greater heights.

He also expressed gratitude to all the Sainik School, Imphal fraternity in making the school pride of the region and conveyed gratitude to all attendees for making the celebration a grand success.
