Imphal, September 07 2021: The 3 month 'Festival of Nupi Sankirtan-2021' organised by Ibudhou Shankar Deva Nupi Holi Dal, Yumnam Huidrom culminated atTboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Palace Compound here on Tuesday.

Presided over by Theatre Centre Manipur president Naba Wareppa (Padmashree), the valedictory function was attended by Agriculture & Tourism minister O Lukhoi as chief guest, while Thongkhong Lakshmi Municipal Council chairperson Yumnam Jamuna and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Sougrakpam Hemanta were present as guests of honour.

Speaking on the occasion, minister Lukhoi noted that art and culture plays an important role in bringing global recognition to the state, and stressed the need for preservation of this legacy left behind by the forefathers.

It is a proud moment for the state to have a niche in the international area through art and culture and sports, he added.
