'Mithibong Mitambal' wins Best Music Award

Kakching, August 05 2024: 'Mithibong Mitambal", won the title of Overall Best Music Video Award 2024 in the 5th Roshani International Film Festival 2024 held at the auditorium of Moulana Azad Research Centre, Mumbai on Sunday.

The award was handed over jointly to lyricist Keke Wahengbam, producer Dr Eteen Maibam and director Vevvaey Bonnyson.

The lyrics are about the sufferings faced by the indigenous Meeteis due to the violence perpetrated by Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists.

The music video was produced under the banner of Eteen Computerised Eye Care and Testing Centre, Thoubal and released on July 25 last year.

The music for the album is by Raju and sung by Irabot Kom, Mithoihenba and Boris Bob, with Keke Wahengbam, Khoimu, Yuhenba, Irabot and Mithoihenba as the actors, and MK Patra as cameraman and Vewaey Bonyson as the editor.

Keke Wahengbam, who is also an AIR lyricist, was declared the Best Lyricist in Manipur State Film Award 2023 for the music Video Album "Poppy Leirang", based on war on drugs and produced under the same banner by Dr Maibam Eteen.
