Sambit Patra meets Moreh CSOs

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Wednesday, visited the border town and met representatives of various civil society organisations.
Around 12.30 pm, Sambit met representatives of Moreh-based Tamil Sangam, Gorkha Samaj Samiti, Border Trade Chamber of Commerce, and Hindustan Samaj at the IB of Assam Rifles.
During the meeting, the community leaders urged Sambit Patra to contribute his mite in restoring peace in the state, repairing of dilapidated roads and bridges in the border town, and ensure functioning of the PHED office in Moreh.
They also urged for posting adequate number of doctors in Moreh and reopening of the Indo-Myanmar border trade at the earliest.
In response, Sambit assured of conveying the issues raised by the community leaders to the Prime Minister, and work for restoring peace and normalcy in the state.
