Repairing of Bidyanagar link road begins

Repair works on the uphill section of the road leading from Sorok Atingbi Keithel to Bidyanagar, which remained unattended for a long time and is in awfully bad condition, has begun by volunteers of local clubs and people while financial requirement being borne by Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited vice chairman K Saratkumar.
Bidyanagar Benovelent Club (BBC) president L Ranjit said that the road is a very important one as it connects several government offices located nearby like district hospital, helipad, sports complex, sericulture and horticulture offices, and water reservoir of PHED.
He said that commuters along the road have been facing problems in passing through the elevated portion of the road for a long time but K Saratkumar has taken keen initiative in repairing the road and the problem will be eased soon.
On behalf of the people settling along the said road, he conveyed gratitude to Saratkumar for taking up the initiative to repair the road.
