People greeted on Kut festival

Imphal, October 31 2021:
On the occasion of Kut festival which is the biggest festival among Kuki-Chin-Mizo ethnic groups and celebrated on November 1 every year, Governor La Ganesan, chief minister N Biren among others extended heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur and Kuki-Chin-Mizo in particular.
In separate messages, Governor Ganesan, chief minister Biren, speaker Y Khemchand, works minister Th Biswajit, forest minister Awangbow Newmai, agriculture minister O Lukhoi, CAF&PD minister Th Satyabarta wished the people a happy Kut.
Pointing out that the festival symbolises peace, harmony and unity rising above the barriers of caste, creed or religion, they wished that the spirit of Kut would embrace one and all to strengthen the social fabric more than ever and bring prosperity to all the communities in the state.
They also expressed hope that the festival will usher in greater love, oneness and brotherhood amongst all communities.
