Imphal, May 31 2022: Shangshak Battalion of IGAR (S) organised an awareness lecture on prevention of child abuse at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district on Monday.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the lecture elaborately covered child abuse, its various forms and how it affects the child, family and society as a whole.

The resource persons also explained about various preventive measures as well as laws and rules to report the matter to legal authorities.

The lecture was attended by 52 children and their parents.

Meanwhile, Sajik Tampak Battalion of IGAR (S) conducted a security meet village chiefs of Kana area at Haika village in Chandel district on Monday.

Informing that the meeting was attended by president Kana Valley Association, village chiefs of Kana area and locals, the PRO said participants were briefed on the ongoing security situation in the Kana area and on future action plans related to civic action projects such as medical camps, training for recruitment rallies and infrastructure development.
