Man dies in likely hit-and-run case

Senapati, September 29 2024: Body of a male, suspected to be victim of hit-and-run case, was found near Ecological Park along the NH-2 at M Ningthoupham village.

According to Senapati district police, they received information on Sunday around 6 am regarding a man found lying along the road, which the police retrieved and initiated a case at the police station concerned, suspecting it to be a hit-and-run case.

Till the filing of this report, identify of the deceased could not be established.

As per a police report, the deceased is around 5.4 feet tall and dressed in an orange formal shirt and black track pants.

With no one coming forward to identify the body, Senapati police have deposited it at the JNIMS Morgue, Porompat, Imphal, for further procedures with a case also registered at Senapati police station for relevant process.
