DLSA conducts legal awareness programme

Thoubal, June 25 2021: District Legal Services Authority, Thoubal in coordination with Community Network for Improvement (CoNE), Manipur conducted a one-day Legal Awareness programme/Webinar via Jitsi Meet on Friday under the initiate of State Manipur Legal Services Authority, Lamphelpat.

District and Sessions Judge and DLSA Thoubal chairperson Binny Ngangom delivered the keynote address of the programme which commenced at 1 pm while CoNE president Nalinikanta Rajkumar spoke on the topic "Criminalisation of Drug Users: A threat to health and Social Development", as the resource person.

An interaction session with the participants was also carried during the virtual programme.

The webinar was also attended by Chief Judicial Magistrate/DLSA secretary, Judicial Magistrate First Class Thoubal, officers and personnel of Police stations of Kakching district, DLSA Thoubal panel lawyers along with coordinators and paralegal volunteers of Legal Aid Clinics under DLSA Thoubal, retainer lawyers of Front Office, DLSA Thoubal and drug and substance users from different parts of the district.
