ZNCM elects new president, general secretary

Imphal, November 19 2021: The Zeme Naga Council Manipur (ZNCM) on November 12 elected Apung Daime and L Italakpe as new president and general secretary respectively in its General Body Meeting Cum Executive election held at Zeme Naga Council Manipur Head Office Ruangdi Hall, Tamenglong district headquarters.

A release by secretary Italakpe said that the existent Council was dissolved and a new one formed for the tenure 2021-2024.The release has also informed the leaders of Tamenglong and Senapati districts to form their own zone executive committee as agreed in the GBM on the creation of two zones for Tamenglong and Senapati districts, within this year and put up their executive list to the apex body.

Further, it also conveyed that expansion of the executives will be held soon for the remaining vacant posts for which a meeting circulation wili served from the head office.
