44 AR inaugurates Prerna Sthal in Tamenglong

Imphal, January 18 2022:
An inspirational wall named Prerna Sthal conceptualised by 44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR/IGAR (East) and constructed next to the helipad in Tamenglong district headquarters to inspire and motivate the youth of Zeliad region to join Indian Army/Assam Rifles as a profession was inaugurated on Tuesday.
According to a release by PIB (Defence), the structure is a rectangular shaped wall with conical green lawns.
The outer flower beds depict the confluence of three state boundaries with the district as the edges of the lawn.
The flowering plants planted were collected from various parts of the district.
The central arena has a rectangular wall with the names and description of unit gallantry award winners with a flower bed in front of it.
This rectangular flower bed designed as Shaurya Chakra with blooming flowers depicts the heroism, constructive energy, will, grit and courage of the youth of the area.
The cpnical shaped green lawn represents Sankalp Chakra and depicts the limit of professional growth as one joins the'service.
This lawn will inspire and motivate the youth to join Indian Army as a profession, it added.
The release further mentioned that the waiting area has basic facilities for passengers to wait for boarding/de-boarding the helicopter.
The facility was inaugurated on Tuesday as a New Year gift to the locals of Tamenglong by IGAR (East) .
There is a provision of lightning up the waiting area in the evening.
This facility will not only ease the passengers waiting time but will also enhance the safety of passengers and vehicles around the helipad, it further said.
