Imphal, July 16 2024: As part of his campaign for protection of the environment, environmental activist Man-ikanta Mutum submitted a two-point memorandum to Konthoujam MLA minister Sapam Ranjan and Patsoi MLA Sapam Kunjakeshwor on Tuesday.

The memorandum proposed the government to make certificate for planting sapling provided by it as qualifying document for government jobs and to direct schools to provide grace marks in examination to students who take up the initiative of planting tree sapling.

Under the campaign launched on July 14 at Sekmai, Manikanta is planning to submit copies of memorandum containing the said demands to 40 MLAs of the state including chief minister N Biren.
