PLA cadre arrested, aadhaar card seized

Imphal, June 16 2021: A team of Thoubal district police commandos arrested an active cadre of the proscribed PLA/RPF from Horton Ingourok Khunou on Wednesday evening.

The arrested cadre has been identified as self-styled lieutenant of PLA Tekcham Sanathoi Singh (37) alias Nono son of (L) T Tiken Singh of Shikhong Mamang Leikai.

According to police report, the CDO team conducted random frisking and checking at Horton Ingourok Khunou after receiving reliable information about presence of some cadres of PLA/ RPF in and around Ingourok Khunou area.

During the random frisking and checking, a suspected person was detained for verification and he turned out to be the self-styled lieutenant of PLA Tekcham Sanathoi Singh.

Sanathoi revealed that he joined the outfit in January 2006 through one Nanao of Arong Nongmaikhong and underwent 45 days basic military training at Rijik camp, Tamu under army number 2866.He is presently holding the rank of lieutenant of PLA and working under self-styled colonel Jibon Singh of PLA.

An Aadhaar card was also recovered from his possession.

The arrested cadre has been handed over to Nongpok Sekmai PS for further necessary legal action, the police report added.
