Students visit AR camp, meet Coy commander

Imphal, February 16 2025:
Assam Rifles organised 'A day with Company Commander' at Assam Rifles camp at Khuga village in Churachandpur district on Saturday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the event aimed at providing the youth glimpses of the life in uniform, witnessed enthusiastic participation of 56 children including 30 girls from Churachandpur district.
The day began with welcome address by the company commander followed by the weapon display, where the children were introduced to automatic weapons, rifles, mortars, rocket launchers and equipment like night vision devices thereby providing them with the opportunity to witness and handle the equipment used by Indian armed forces.
A tour of the camp, providing them insight into the daily routine of soldiers, was also held.
The children then participated in fun-filled games like relay race, tug of war, musical chair, etc., with the winners awarded prizes.
Additionally, Assam Rifles also gifted educational aids and sports equipment like volleyballs and footballs to the students, promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
Basic medical check-up was also carried out for the attendees, elaborated the PRO in a release.
