Court rejects bail plea of SI Jitendra

Imphal, June 13 2022: District and Sessions Judge, Imphal West on Monday rejected the bail application submitted by sub-inspector Jitendra, who had been in judicial custody in connection with the death of goldsmith Arambam Nanao.

During the bail hearing, SDPO Imphal West made a prayer through the PP requesting the court to set-aside another date for hearing the bail application.

The PP submitted to the Court that the case needs trace level analysis owing to the nature of the case and the facility for the same is not available at FSL, Pangei.

Additionally, the experts' opinions in the case are yet to be recorded.

Amidst this, Nanao's widow had made an appeal for rejecting the bail application of the accused.

The Court provided an opportunity for Nanao's widow to seek a legal counsel and assist the prosecution.

After listening to the submissions of both sides,, the Court accepted the prayer of the PP and fixed the next bail hearing on June 27 .
