Distribution of relief items continues

Tbl/Bpr, June 12 2021: In continuation of the assistance provided to the people, social worker Langpoklakpam Giridhon Singh distributed essential food items to 50 households in the containment zone of Tekcham Laibung Leikai under Tekcham Gram Panchayat today.

Speaking on the occasion, Langpoklakpam Giridhon Singh stated that the food items were distributed to support the families suffering in Home Isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic and assured to provide similar assistance in the future.

Social worker, Kharibam Jivan also distributed food items to the households in the containment zone of Chrangpat, Kiyam Wangmataba, Babu Bazar and Haokha Khundramayum under Wangkhem AC.

Similarly, in a bid to encourage and aid the police personnel, VDF and traffic police, Eteen Computerised Eye Testing and Eye Care Centre, proprietor Eteen Maibam distributed face masks, sanitizers and food items to the personnel stationed at Thoubal Wangkhem, Yairipok Top, Yaripok Khoirom, Andro Lamkhai, Yairipok Khamlang and Yairipok Bazar.

The relief items were provided to a total of 80 personnel today.

Meanwhile, Bishnunaha Youth Federation Yairipok in association with local youth clubs of the area constituted a 'BYFY COVID-19 Warriors' team to aid the people during these health crisis.

Later, the volunteers of 'BYFY COVID-19 Warriors' distributed food items to 600 households of the area.

Likewise, as a part of the BJP's Seva Hi Sangathan Phase 2, ex-Minister Ningthoujam Mangi distributed face masks and essential food items to 40 households of Torbung Gram Panchayat under Kumbi AC.

Ningthoujam Mangi also donated 2 bundles of GI sheets to aid the construction work of Torbung Bangla SATJAL Academy Branch's new building.

The programme was also participated by Torbung GP Up-pradhan, Laishram Ibohal Meitei; BJP Kumbi Mandal for general secretary, Tomba Soibam and Committee secretary, Kh Rajesh Meitei.
